When applying sunscreen, cover your face, neck, ears, back of neck, chest/decollete, scalp (if visible), and back of hands. Apply the sunscreen to exposed skin at least 15 minutes before going out in the sun. If you’ll be swimming or sweating, use water-resistant sunscreen. Reapply at least every 2 hours. Understand the risks of sun exposure: it significantly increases the risk of skin cancers and aging skin. To protect yourself, follow these sun protection measures:
  • Limit your time in the sun, especially between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m.
  • Opt for a UV-blocking umbrella (parasol) instead of a regular umbrella, as UV rays can penetrate typical materials.
  • Wear UV light-protective long-sleeve shirts, pants, hats, and sunglasses.
  • UV light can penetrate glass, reflect off surfaces, and is present even on cloudy days.
  • Avoiding sunscreen is advisable for little ones under 6 months. Instead, please keep them in shaded areas and protect them from direct sunlight. If you’re considering using sunscreen for your baby, check in with their pediatrician first!

Our Deeply Vital Lip Balm has some natural SPF, and we recommend wearing it indoors and outdoors.

  1. With the cap cover over the pump, invert the container upside down and tap firmly 8-10 times. (This will force the liquid up into the actuator and create a vacuum.)
  2. Return the container to its upright position.
  3. Remove the cap and press the pump to dispense the product into your hand, keeping the nozzle away from your face. It may take several pumps to prime the pump entirely so the actuator can deliver the product.
  4. If the pump fails, try steps 1 through 3 again, tapping slightly harder to force the liquid into the actuator. If these steps do not work, please get in touch with us at 800.633.8872 or https://eltamd.com/pages/contact-us.
